慶應義塾大学法学部卒業後、NHKに入局。『ニュースウオッチ9』『クローズアップ現代＋』などでキャスター、リポーターを務め、国内外の社会課題や人権、政治、経済分野を取材。現在は独立し、キャスター、インタビュアーとして活動するほか、株式会社IZMiN代表取締役を務める。NPO、企業、官公庁などが主催するフォーラムやカンファレンスにおいて、多様な立場の人々が集う対話の場の司会・ファシリテーションを数多く担当している。

Izumi Tanaka is an anchor, interviewer, moderator, facilitator, and Representative Director of IZMiN Inc. After graduating from Keio University, she joined NHK, Japan’s public broadcaster, where she served as an anchor and reporter for flagship programs including News Watch 9 and Today’s Close-Up+. Throughout her career, she has covered a wide range of social issues, human rights, politics, and economic affairs in Japan and abroad. Today, she works across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors as a moderator and facilitator for forums, conferences, and dialogues, fostering meaningful conversations among people with diverse perspectives and backgrounds, while also leading IZMiN Inc.
